![]() ![]() It was great! Easy to deploy, the controls worked smoothly and it kept me going straight, even in a fairly strong crosswind. After paddling for 10 minutes or so I deployed the rudder. It tracked very well compared to what I was used to. The first thing I noticed about the ghost was how well it paddled. We launched close to the beach and headed out into the bay with fairly calm water. ![]() My first trip in the sea ghost was with my good buddy Matt. I drove the 8 hours to go pick it up, and wow, was I impressed with the kayak. Nope! “We didn’t expect so many sales, we can’t keep up with the demand!”įinally, around the end of May, I wound up getting lucky, and ordered one from Vibe headquarters. I called the Vibe headquarters in Kennesaw GA, to see if maybe they had one I could buy. (They were going on sale early spring of 2016) Both dealers had the same response, “I’m getting 8 kayaks at a time and I’ve started a waiting list for the next several shipments.” Wow! Apparently this was the story all over the country, as many people were getting impatient, waiting on their kayak. I called the two dealers that were within a few hours of me to see when they would have the sea ghost. Without further ado, here’s is my honest feedback. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the kayak. After further research my “slightly interested” became, “desperately needed”, and so, as soon as I could, I bought one. For me, that’s all it took, I was “slightly” interested when I saw a picture of the 2016 ghost in someone’s Facebook post. If you’re reading this, it shows you’re at least slightly interested in the sea ghost.
